Habe gerade eine Help-Datei (*chm) erstellt und wollte jetzt die zugehörigen VIs mit ihr verknüpfen. Leider geht das nur mit absoluten Pfadangaben C:Programmeblablabla.... Mit anderen Worten, wenn ich jetzt diese VIs auf einen anderen Rechner portiere und der aber das Verzeichnis "Program Files" benutzt, dann ist alles im Eimer.
Kann man LabVIEW irgendwie relative Pfadangaben beibringen ?
oder
Gibt es eine Variable die auf das Helpverzeichnis (C:ProgrammeNat...LabVIEW...help) verweist,
also unabhängig vom gewählten Installationspfad ist?

Hallo Batou,
in der Funktionenpalette unter "Programming/File IO/File Constants" findet man unter anderem "Current VI's Path", damit kann man leicht und elegant Dein Problem lösen.
Die Kontext-Hilfe dazu wird Dir reichen.

<div align="left">So weit so gut. Jetzt habe ich den VI-Pfad, aber was dann. Ich kann jetzt auch noch den Pfad verändern, so daß er auf das help-Verzeichnis zeigt. Aber..
Ich habe damit dem VI immer noch nicht beigebracht, daß es dort nach der help.chm suchen soll. Wie schreibt man den Pfad zur Helpdatei?
Außerdem muß der User mindesten einmal das Programm starten, damit der Pfad aktualisiert wird. Oder täusche ich mich? Programm einmal starten, nur um das help-File zu finden wenn man Probleme hat?
Ist das wirklich so dämlich unter LabVIEW? Oder bin ich zu dämlich?

Allgemein kannst du das VI "Control Online Help" (Controls a compiled help file by displaying the table of contents, jumping to a specific topic in the file, or closing the help file. You can create a compiled help file and use this function to link from a VI to the help file. You also can use this function to display an HTML file in the default browser. ) benutzen.
Oder, VI-spezifisch die VI-Properties "Help.Path" (Path or symbolic path to an HTML file (.htm or .html) or compiled help file (.chm or .hlp) to which the VI is linked. If the path is to a compiled help file, use the Document Tag property to determine the specific topic in that help file.) und "Help.Tag" (Index keyword or HTML filename for a topic in the compiled help file to which the VI is linked. Use this property only when Document Path is a path to a compiled help file (.chm or .hlp).
For .chm files, this property can be an HTML filename or index keyword. For .hlp files, this property can be an index keyword.)

Erstmal danke für eure Mühe. Die Funktionen die ihr erwähnt habt sind alle sehr interesannt. Ich werde sie gut gebrauchen können. Mein aktuelles Problem, weshalb ich gepostet habe, hat sich indes gelöst.
Es war wie ich befürchtet hatte: ich bin zu dämlich.
Natürlich funktionieren relative Pfadangaben. Aber meine VI, das ich in User.lib abgelegt hatte, ist in einer LLB. Die LLB muß wie ein Verzeichnis behandelt werden. Der relative Pfad lautetet also: ....helpdatei.chm

danke an die antwortenden...hat mir ebenso geholfen, da ich auch von absoluten pfaden ausgegangen bin.
