Hi all,

Hallo,
Could you please give more details about your project? Where does the video come from? Is it from a CCD analog camera or other sources? Have you considered using a digital camera? Like USB, IEEE1394/firewire camera or even a DV camcorder? What resolution and frame rate do you require?
If you ever consider a digital camera, we have a toolkit for LabVIEw programmer. You can get a download from the below link:

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I haven´t chosen a speficic camera yet, it could be possible that I will use two cameras.

I prefer an industrial CCD analog camera because it is lighter than a digital camcorder, and it is easier to control it over RF. There are many existing systems. These two criteria are very important for my application. I mount the camera on an Blimp and the videostream will get analysed to support the controller with additional parameters. The goal is that the Blimp should fly autonomously.

Back to topic; is it possible to use IVision when I use a HW mpegcoder with USB after the 2,4GHz Receiver?

Kind regards

Hallo,
It's possible to stream a mpeg encoded video stream with IVision. But if it's mpeg-2, you may need to install extra encoder and decoder in your PC, I think it may come with your hardware driver. I've never tried the HW mpegcoder, but we know IVision works with mpeg-4 streams, so I guess maybe it doesn't matter whether it's software encoded or HW encoded mpeg stream. Why not give it a try and it'll be great appreciated if you can inform me if IVision works with the HW mpegcoder.

MFG.
