LabVIEW version - spring - 27.05.2009 12:48

Hallo,

I am new in this forum and so is my experience for LabVIEW. Now, I am designing a discrete PID control for temperature of a certain object in order to yield a constant temperature. This object is a TEC-cooler (Thermal Electrical). I think most times I might require functions for "control design and simulation". What I have now is Version 8.2, but I realize that it does not include the full package for discrete PID control. So I decided to install 8.5 or 8.6, since I saw some examples for this, which mostly use 8.5 or 8.6 for designing.
It would be an honour for me to get an idea which version and extra modules would be suitable for my task.
Furthermore I am searching for suitable literature. Eventhough I watched various books already, I haven't found specific examples for designing a discrete PID control? I am just learning German, but those technical terms I can better understand in English.
I would appreciate you also reply me in English. Thank you very much.Smile

Freundliche Grüße,
spring

Das hört sich verdammt nach Crosspost an!
Wenn Du schon woanders postest, dann erwähne das bitte und schreib' wenigstens hier auf Deutsch!

I don't think, that you need the NI LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module

Well, thanks a lot for your kind reply. But for design discrete PID control, which is better between 8.5 and 8.6?Huh

Kenne mich mit diesem Thema (PID) nicht sonderlich aus. Aber es dürfte relativ egal sein, ob du nun 8.2 / 8.5 oder 8.6 verwendest.

Hi, thank you for every one' answers. I already have 8.6. If you have advice for book which teachs how to use LabVIEW to design discrete control, please give me some idea. Thanks!
